More five killed:

Extra Judicial Killing continues in Bangladesh!

By Bangladesh Media; Five people were killed in incidents of ‘crossfire’ with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Bagerhat and Bogra on Tuesday. Among them 4 were killed in Bagherhat and the other was in Bogra. As usual story from Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been published by the daily newspapers in Bangladesh.

Lt Commander Nuruzzaman, company commander of Rab-8, Patuakhali camp, said four robbers of a local gang Gama Bahini died in a gunfight in the eastern part of the Sundarbans in Sharankhola upazila of Bagerhat. Of them, three were identified as Bachchu, 38, from Moralganj, and Jamal, 28, and Montu, 50, of Rampal, Rab said.


Rab demanded, at least 21 firearms and over 100 bullets were recovered from the scene, reports a correspondent of daily star from the southern district.The Rab team had received information that a consignment of firearms was being smuggled into the Sundarbans through Dudhmukhi canal.

RAB describes, The team challenged a trawler in the canal around 9:50am yesterday. Sensing the presence of law enforcers, the robbers from the trawler opened fire on the team. The Rab personnel fired back. At one stage, bandits anchored the trawler along the bank of the canal and fled.

However, police found four robbers dead at the scene and demanded that they have recovered firearms. Mihir Kumar Dey, divisional forest officer of the Sundarbans, east zone, told The Daily Star that he had been informed of the incident by Rab and forest officers.

The Daily Star reports, a youth was killed in a "gunfight" with Rab in Bogra sadar upazila yesterday morning.
Rab identified the deceased as Ranga Miah, 25, a "trader of illegal firearms", whereas the authorities of a school in sadar said he had worked as an assistant to the driver of a school bus, reports The daily Stars Bogra correspondent.
